Audible acquires two books from debut romance author Leeanne Slade

Audible, a world-wide leader in spoken-word entertainment, has acquired two standalone romances from debut author and former radio advertising executive, Leeanne Slade.

Audible acquired World Rights from Rowan Lawton at The Soho Agency. Leeanne’s first title, The Rebound, will be released as an Audible Original title globally in March 2023, with her second title, Told You So, following later in the year.

The Rebound (March 2023) will be narrated by Claudia Jessie, who is best known for playing Eloise Bridgerton in Netflix’s Bridgerton series. The story follows Kitty Harris who thinks she has it all; a stable relationship with long-term boyfriend Archie, a great job at an ad agency, and a comfortable routine including their regular Thursday pizza nights.

That is until one night a diamond ring sitting pretty in her pepperoni ruins everything.

Kitty does not want to get married, not after being caught in the crosshairs of her parent’s destructive divorce. Desperate not to lose Archie altogether, Kitty suggests a summer-long break so she can turn her ‘I don’t’ into ‘I do’.

Could a rebound plan with her impeccably dressed advertising nemesis, Leo Evans, help Kitty face her marriage fears and get her the happy-ever-after she wants with Archie?

Aurelie De Troyer, SVP of International English Content at Audible said: “We are thrilled to be working with Leeanne on The Rebound and Told You So. Listeners will fall in love with Leeanne’s fresh, funny characters and who better to bring Kitty’s adventure to life than a star of the biggest romance show of the moment, Claudia Jessie”.
