About   Leeanne

Leeanne Slade lives in the south of England. Having been an avid reader and writer from a young age (the latter mostly awful poems and songs that will never, ever see the light of day), she now pens romantic novels.

When she's not writing or spending time with her young family, she'll probably be watching cooking shows, obsessing over Taylor Swift lyrics, or reading romance novels like her life depends on it.

If you are seeking a light-hearted read, something to make you smile, with life-affirming characters, then Leeanne's books are for you.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I find the paperback/ebook versions of your books?

I get this question so often, and I’m so grateful that people want to enjoy my books in so many formats!

As part of my deal with Audible, my books are exclusive to them for a little while after release. I am absolutely planning to release my books in paperback/ebook once that exclusivity ends. I will update you as soon as I have information or pre-order links. You can subscribe to my mailing list here to be the first to know.

When is your next book coming?

Keep an eye out for an announcement about my summer 2025 novel SOON. And maybe something around Christmas time too... 😉

How can I best support you?

Reviewing, sharing on social media, and generally spreading the word about my books is the best way to support me!

What social media do you have?

I am only on Instagram and TikTok – @leeannesladeauthor. Any other accounts are NOT me. I love receiving messages from readers, so please feel free to reach out to me there. I step back from social media every now and then, especially when on a deadline, but I try my best to reply to everyone.

I would love to see your books as movies/TV shows. Are there any plans for this?

I am contractually obliged not to talk about that yet 😉

I love writing. How do I get published?
This is one of my favourite questions because I was once in that position too – someone with passion and a dream but no real knowledge of the next steps! I can only speak for traditional publishing (self-publishing is equally valid and exciting, but since I have no experience with it, I don’t think I’m the best person to offer advice on that).

A simplified journey to traditional publishing:

  1. Finish your book to the best of your ability. Then edit. Edit. Edit!

  2. Write a query letter (250 words—think of the blurb on the back of a book but slightly more detailed).

  3. Only literary agents can approach publishers. Research agents representing your genre and send your query to them, following their specific guidelines.

  4. Wait...! (Seriously.) I spent five years writing and querying before I broke through. Some people sign quickly, but don’t be discouraged if you wait months to hear back. You only need one yes!

Remember: a legitimate agent / publisher will never ask you to part with money.
